About The Position

With Tyson's 1+2 Industrial Maintenance Training Program participants start a career as a full-time maintenance employee earning up to $25.85 per hour plus benefits, while attending Industrial Maintenance Training classes at Hawkeye Community College. No prior maintenance experience needed. Just need a desire to succeed!! Participants attend classes at Hawkeye Community College 4 days a week, 6 hours a day Monday-Thursday; attend one- 4-hour study session on-site at Tyson and work one 12-hour shift in maintenance. Selected candidates are hired as full-time maintenance employees and are eligible for benefits after 90 days.

Requirements

• Resume is required and must contain contact information, related work experience/history, skills, and educational information.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preference given to first time new hires and those with prior industrial maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Attend classes at Hawkeye Community College 4 days a week, 6 hours a day.
• Participate in one 4-hour study session on-site at Tyson.
• Work one 12-hour shift in maintenance.
