About The Position

We are seeking a qualified School Psychologist to join our team in the PUSD School District. The ideal candidate will hold a valid State of California Credential in Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) with a specialization in School Psychology. This position involves working closely with students, parents, and staff to support the mental health and educational needs of our students. The School Psychologist will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing counseling, and collaborating with educators to create a positive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Valid State of California Credential in Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) with a specialization in School Psychology
  • Master's degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience with special education
  • Knowledge of current trends in school psychology

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop intervention strategies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student needs
  • Develop and implement programs to promote mental health awareness
  • Consult with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs
