About the position

The Assistant Manager at Cosmo Prof is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and maintaining brand standards. This role involves developing strategies to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis and effective communication. The Assistant Manager will take on all primary duties in the absence of the Store Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, marketing, and dress code.
  • Act as the main point of contact for resolving customer issues and concerns.
  • Analyze store trends and anticipate customer demands.
  • Engage, train, and develop team members to achieve positive results.
  • Recruit and build a strong network of candidates for open positions.
  • Coach and counsel associates to address strengths and opportunities.
  • Maintain positive associate relations and keep associates informed of relevant company information.
  • Ensure execution of all company processes through training and management.
  • Manage inventory, payroll hours, and ensure store opening and closing procedures are performed correctly.
  • Ensure a safe store environment for associates and customers, following all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum 3+ years of retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
  • At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.
  • Effective communication skills with team and management.
  • Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business.
  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.
