About The Position

The Assistant Manager at Cosmo Prof is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in hiring, developing, and leading all store associates while ensuring optimal customer experiences and overseeing all store operations. This role involves developing strategies to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis, action planning, effective communication, and accountability. The Assistant Manager will take on all primary duties in the absence of the Store Manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
• At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred.
• Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.
• Effective communication skills with team and management.
• Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business.
• Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision and supports the direction planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Ensures all brand standards are met, including merchandising, marketing, and dress code.
• Acts as the main point of contact to resolve customer issues and concerns.
• Analyzes store trends and anticipates customer demands.
• Engages, trains, and develops teams to achieve positive results.
• Recruits to build a strong network of external candidates.
• Identifies strengths and opportunities for each associate and addresses them through coaching.
• Maintains positive associate relations and keeps associates informed of relevant company information.
• Ensures execution of all company processes through training and management.
• Manages inventory through ordering and shipment processing.
• Ensures all store opening and closing procedures are performed correctly.
• Ensures the store environment is safe for associates and customers.
• Protects company assets by ensuring inventory and cash control procedures are followed.
