About The Position

The Receiving Associate is responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, identification, and tagging of merchandise from vendors and other AFW facilities. This position offers competitive pay and opportunities for advancement through company-provided training and leadership development.

Requirements

• Ability to be certified in the operation of warehouse equipment.
• Ability to use trailer chocks and operate a hand truck.
• Ability to perform correct lifting and team lifting techniques.
• Ability to handle and manipulate merchandise up to 250 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Familiarity with RF scanning technology.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload merchandise from trailers and containers.
• Identify and tag merchandise accurately according to vendor labels.
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Promote safety awareness and adhere to AFW's safety policies and procedures.
• Break down merchandise inside trailers and position it for removal.
• Use a radio frequency (RF) scanner for inventory management.
• Sweep docks, trailers, and containers as needed.
• Work independently and as part of a team in a cooperative manner.
