About The Position

The Assistant Manager at Sally Beauty is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and maintaining brand standards. This role involves developing strategies to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets through business analysis and effective communication. The Assistant Manager will take on primary duties in the absence of the Store Manager, focusing on brand management, team development, operational execution, and safety/loss prevention.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum 3+ years of retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
  • At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred.
  • Ability to lead or support a team to meet business objectives.
  • Effective communication skills with team and management.
  • Availability to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the planning of associates’ daily goals to deliver exceptional client experiences and maximize sales/KPIs.
  • Ensure all brand standards are met, including merchandising, marketing, and dress code.
  • Act as the main point of contact for resolving customer issues and analyzing store trends.
  • Engage, train, and develop team members to achieve positive results.
  • Recruit and build a strong network of candidates for open positions.
  • Hold team members accountable to company policies and maintain positive associate relations.
  • Ensure execution of all company processes and support digital strategies.
  • Manage inventory, payroll hours, and ensure proper store opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain a safe store environment and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
