About The Position

The Material Handler 2 position involves performing a variety of tasks associated with material handling and control in support of manufacturing printed circuit boards and other products. The role requires receiving general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new assignments. Tasks are semi-routine in nature, requiring the ability to recognize deviations from accepted practices. The position works under close supervision, with decisions/actions impacting a contained area of work activity. The Material Handler may demonstrate work methods to new employees and engages in routine exchanges of information with immediate supervisors, co-workers, and team members.

Requirements

• Two to four years of relevant experience.
• High School or Equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of warehousing and inventory control practices.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records of material movement.
• Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as reel counters, scales, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Specific certifications and/or licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Receives, counts, and stocks raw materials.
• Ensures accurate counts, packaging, stock rotation, part identification, and shelf life determination.
• Receives, sorts, inspects, and validates warranty on returned material.
• Completes detailed inventory transactions in appropriate systems, documenting the receipt and delivery of materials.
• Operates a variety of equipment including reel counters, weigh scales, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Delivers material to production and/or shipping areas.
• Prepares, configures, and packages upgrade material kits for shipment to customers.
