About The Position

The Bookseller is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in a retail environment, ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers. This role involves assisting customers with inquiries, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the store's merchandise and cleanliness.

Requirements

• 16 years of age or older
• Successful completion of all required background screenings

Responsibilities

• Provides customers with the highest level of customer service by greeting each customer and assisting with questions and orders.
• Sales of all products and promotion of point of sale initiatives including Membership programs and other company-sponsored programs.
• Balances cash drawer following each register shift within allowable variances as identified in the Loss Prevention Policy.
• Delivers and places product on the sales floor in accordance with merchandising guidelines and timelines.
• Recovers the sales floor during each shift, including shelving books and product, straightening bookshelves and tables, and store housekeeping tasks.
• Protects company assets by adhering to all loss prevention standards and acting with integrity in all transactions.
• Assists in other departments, receiving shipments, small fixture assembly and maintenance, assisting with inventory, and restroom cleanliness.
