About The Position
Under the direction of the Special Education Director and school principal, the Special Education Teacher, Mild/Moderate will provide instruction, assessment and program planning for special education students with a primary disability of autism, moderate to severe mental retardation, multiple disabilities, and emotional disturbance. The teacher will monitor and evaluate student progress and behavior, research, obtain and provide instructional materials for special education services, and serve as an informational resource for students, parents, District personnel and community organizations. This position will work within a pull out Learning Center environment or within a self-contained classroom. This teaching position is to serve at our Mariposa Elementary School site for RSP (Mild/Moderate) services. This position is part of the Certificated Teacher Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience and education on the Certificated Teacher Unit Employee Salary schedule. PLEASE NOTE THE 2025-26 SALARY SCHEDULE IS PENDING - SALARY IS CURRENTLY BASED ON THE 2024-25 SALARY SCHEDULE.
