The Workforce Development Program Coordinator at Beacon Health System is responsible for creating, coordinating, and managing programs to enhance recruitment, retention, and skill development for healthcare professionals. Reporting to the Manager of Workforce Development, this role focuses on building strategic partnerships, supporting career advancement, and promoting Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) across all initiatives.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate workforce programs that address organizational goals and healthcare industry standards.
  • Manage career development programs like Beacon Pathways, Beacon Scholars, and Beacon Administrative Fellowship.
  • Establish relationships with healthcare providers, educational institutions, and workforce agencies.
  • Collaborate with partners to address workforce needs and develop student-to-career pathways.
  • Support recruitment through events such as job fairs, field trips, and targeted campaigns.
  • Assist in career advancement for healthcare workers via mentorship, leadership development, and continuing education resources.
  • Coordinate continuing education and certification programs to improve skills and meet accreditation standards.
  • Facilitate workshops on healthcare topics like patient care, technology, and cultural competency.
  • Collect and analyze program outcomes (e.g., job placements, employee satisfaction).
  • Use data insights to refine and improve programs.
  • Represent Beacon at events to promote healthcare careers to diverse and underserved populations.
  • Ensure that all programs are inclusive and align with DEIB principles.
  • Assist in securing funding for programs through government grants, sponsorships, and private foundations.
  • Stay current with healthcare workforce policies and labor regulations to ensure program compliance.
  • Support Beacon Administrative Fellows by assisting with selection, orientation, and mentorship.
  • Coordinate student internships and rotations while fostering a culture of inclusion and accessibility.
  • Represent Beacon at recruitment events and community activities, emphasizing DEIB initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in workforce development, healthcare administration, or human resources.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of healthcare labor markets and workforce challenges.
