About The Position

The Workers Compensation Claims Adjustor at Sutter Health is responsible for managing workers' compensation claims for assigned self-insured affiliates from the time they are reported until resolution. This role involves collaboration with technical specialists, supervisors, claim managers, and affiliate representatives, as well as partnerships with medical providers and risk management professionals to ensure effective integration of claim issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree.
• 5 years of recent relevant experience in workers' compensation claims management.
• SIP Certificate exam within 36 months of hire.
• Successful completion of an IEA Certificate within 18 months of hire.
• Thorough knowledge of California Workers' Compensation law.
• Experience with California's Labor Code, estimating workers' compensation costs, and medical terminology.
• Proven oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to draw valid conclusions.
• Organizational and planning skills.
