JMT is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join the Hunt Valley Water Resources group. The Project Engineer will perform aspects of water resources engineering analysis and design, focusing on storm drainage systems, stormwater management practices, and related engineering tasks.

  • Analyze and design storm drainage systems
  • Analyze and design stormwater management practices
  • Perform Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis
  • Develop Erosion and Sediment Control plans
  • Perform inspection and assessment of constructed stormwater management practices
  • Complete permit applications for state and local agencies
  • Utilize general engineering principles and practices daily
  • Develop construction cost estimates
  • Prepare engineering documents for advertisement and construction
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering with emphasis in Water Resources from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Professional Engineer License
  • 5+ years of experience in Water Resources Engineering
  • Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design software preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Water Resources engineering design experience in Maryland and/or District of Columbia preferred
  • Hydrologic Modeling experience using TR55 / TR20 and Rational Method
  • Storm drain design experience
  • Stormwater Management design experience
  • Erosion and Sediment Control design experience
  • Proficient with Microstation and/or AutoCAD
