About The Position

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating activities within the warehouse, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. This role involves providing leadership to supervisors and associates, developing departmental work instructions, and measuring the effectiveness of departmental activities. The Warehouse Manager will also be responsible for inventory management, process improvement, and maintaining strong relationships with customer service and business leaders. The position requires participation in a lean culture and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • Three to five years of relevant warehouse experience, including at least one year of management experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong mathematical skills for calculations and data interpretation.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift and/or some weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Interpreting company policies to associates and enforcing safety regulations.
  • Leading the warehouse and company safety process.
  • Providing supervisors with leadership in preparing work schedules, associates' time, vacation requests, and performance reviews.
  • Managing departmental budgets and providing leadership to meet or exceed budget goals.
  • Coaching team members and delegating tasks as necessary.
  • Developing and maintaining departmental work instructions.
  • Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of departmental activities.
  • Recommending and implementing measures to improve service quality and efficiency.
  • Ensuring accurate logging of inventory transactions and managing cycle counts.
  • Identifying and implementing solutions for process improvement.
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with Customer Service and Business Leaders.
  • Assisting in the implementation of changes to corporate strategy.
  • Supporting a healthy and effective lean culture.
  • Acting as site purchase order gatekeeper to monitor and control site expenses.
