About The Position

The Warehouse Stand Up Forklift Operator at Ryder is responsible for various warehouse functions, including operating powered industrial trucks, loading, picking, packing, and shipping retail items. This role emphasizes safety and efficiency in a state-of-the-art supply chain environment, with a focus on teamwork and maintaining high standards of accuracy and dependability.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
• Highly thorough and dependable with a good attendance record.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operation.
• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment, such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during production hours.
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
