About The Position

The Kinecta Supervisory Committee is seeking volunteers to oversee the annual audit of the Credit Union, ensuring compliance and financial integrity. This role involves reviewing internal audit reports, approving audit engagements, and verifying member accounts, requiring a commitment of 8-10 hours per month and participation in 6-8 days of events annually.

Requirements

• 10 - 15 years of financial institution experience strongly preferred.
• Expertise in Information Technology/Cyber Security.
• Sales expertise.
• Accounting/Audit/Risk Management expertise.

Responsibilities

• Conduct an annual audit of the Credit Union and report findings to the Board of Directors.
• Review and approve internal audit engagements.
• Receive and review internal audit reports.
• Ensure sufficient budget is available for internal audit functions.
• Hold independent meetings with Internal Auditors as necessary.
• Verify member accounts against the treasurer's records at least every two years.
• Assist in resolving member complaints.
