About The Position

CACI is seeking a VoIP Test Engineer to support a Voice over IP (VoIP) modernization effort, focusing on unified communications and contact center capabilities. The role involves developing and executing test procedures to ensure compliance with system requirements and customer expectations, while working within a team dedicated to Agile Software Development and IT Support for the Department of Defense.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen with a DOD Secret clearance or higher.
  • Voice Telecommunications backend testing experience.
  • College degree (B.A./B.S.) in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least five (5) years of related experience with Voice equipment such as Avaya, Ribbon, Nortel, or similar.
  • Experience working with Ribbon, Avaya, Nortel, and/or Cisco environments.
  • Proven experience as a VoIP Testing Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, etc.) and related technologies.
  • Experience with VoIP testing tools and platforms (Wireshark, SIPp, JMeter, etc.).
  • Familiarity with network protocols and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, UDP, etc.).
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud-based VoIP solutions.
  • Knowledge of network security and encryption techniques.
  • Certifications in VoIP technologies or related fields (e.g., CCNA Voice, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans for VoIP systems, including call flow, call quality, and network performance.
  • Create, update, and maintain regression test suites for applications to support various testing events.
  • Conduct test case review meetings with the team to define meaningful test cases for the backlogs.
  • Map tasks and tests to backlog items for requirements traceability.
  • Perform functional, regression, and performance testing on VoIP platforms.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues, collaborating with the development team to resolve them.
  • Analyze test results to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure VoIP systems meet business requirements and customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for continuous testing and integration.
  • Provide technical support during VoIP deployments and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Support independent User Acceptance Testing.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in VoIP and telecommunications.
