The Department of Physics and Optical Engineering at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology urgently seeks applicants for a full-time visiting faculty position at the assistant professor level in Physics and Optical Engineering to support the department in teaching introductory physics courses and all levels of optical engineering courses, especially optical systems design. The individual hired will begin in March 2025, teaching full-time during the Spring Quarter of the current academic year and will be a member of our full-time visiting faculty for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Department of Physics and Optical Engineering offers a B.S. degree in physics, nanoengineering and optical engineering, along with an M.S. degree in optical engineering. The department also supports several minors and certificates, including a semiconductor certificate, astronomy minor, and a material science and solid-state physics minor. Some active research programs include semiconductors, nanotechnology, and optics.
