About The Position

VCA Jericho Animal Hospital is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Technician to join the team full time. VCA Jericho is a five doctor, AAHA accredited animal hospital that has been part of the community for over forty years. In addition to traditional services, we also provide therapeutic laser and cryoprobe as alternative treatment options. We thrive on supporting new ideas and believe in the potential of each team member. We look forward to welcoming a new medical professional to the team!

Requirements

• Must have credentials as a CVT, RVT, or LVT.
• Experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Leadership experience in a veterinary environment.
• Previous experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assistance.

Responsibilities

• Support Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
• Deliver an outstanding client experience to win the confidence of every pet parent.
• Perform physical examinations and patient assessments.
• Monitor anesthesia during procedures.
• Assist in surgical preparation and procedures.
• Conduct dental procedures and radiology.
• Perform laboratory work and venipuncture.
• Place catheters and manage pharmacy tasks.
• Ensure patient recovery and provide compassionate care for hospitalized animals.
