Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing quality veterinary care.
• Act as an extra set of eyes, ears, and hands for the veterinary team to maximize productivity.
• Communicate effectively with the veterinary team and other associates to maintain patient flow.
• Provide professional and exceptional service at all times, including preparing procedures and monitoring pets.
• Educate clients on Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, and hospital services.
• Obtain relevant information from clients and maintain complete medical charts.
• Ensure safety by utilizing safe restraining techniques and maintaining clean treatment areas.
• Assist with surgical procedures as applicable.
• Utilize technical skills within state practice acts and NAVTA guidelines.
• Mentor other paraprofessionals in the hospital.
