We are excited to have an opportunity to join APHA as a Veterinary Advisor (VA) within the Veterinary Exotic Notifiable Disease Unit (VENDU), delivering excellence in veterinary and scientific advice to support the development and implementation of veterinary and public health policies and measures. As a VA within VENDU, you will play a vital role in managing exotic animal disease threats, working across government departments, external stakeholders and international networks. VENDU is the bridge between policy making and disease control at APHA operational level. As well as the role in outbreak response this team provides expertise for outbreak preparedness. Each VA in VENDU leads a notifiable disease portfolio, building the foundation of response and control strategies and developing and sharing expertise at a national and international level.
