About The Position
The Department of Environmental Health & Quality is currently seeking a Vector Control Technician Aide that will be assigned in the Community Health Division - Vector Control Program. The work location is 5570 Overland Avenue, Suite 102, San Diego 92123. The Vector Control Technician Aide will perform vector detection, prevention and control of mosquitoes, rodents, and other vectors within an assigned geographic or program area; and to perform related work as required. This is the entry level class in the Vector Control Technician series. Under immediate supervision, Vector Control Technician Aides receive direct training to apply pesticides, and acquire on-the-job experience in vector control work leading to certification by the State of California.
