About the position
This fixed-term role is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on UX leader to join our team as our UX Lead takes time off to grow their family. Reporting to the Director of UX, the ideal candidate will lead the user experience vision and delivery for their own Product area, managing a small team of UX designers. They will collaborate closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and customer success departments, and will also be involved in key projects, leveraging their expertise in UX practice. Additionally, they will contribute to sustaining and developing the company's culture by continuously improving insights-based UX practices and representing UX in engagements with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the user experience vision and delivery for a specific Product area
- Manage a small team of UX designers
- Partner closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and customer success departments
- Utilize UX practice skills in design, research, or both on key projects
- Continuously improve insights-based UX practices to sustain and develop the company's culture
- Represent UX in engagements with various stakeholders, including other departments and users
- Convert UX metrics and research findings into actionable and meaningful recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-department teams
- Practice human-centered design and/or lean UX principles.
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in UX (preferably in a SaaS environment)
- At least 1 years experience in UX/Product leadership and/or management
- Analytical skills: converting UX metrics and research findings into actionable and meaningful optics and recommendations
- Collaborative team player with a history of cross-department collaboration
- Practice inspired by human centered design and/or lean UX
