About The Position

The Maintenance Team Member at BJ's Wholesale Club is responsible for performing general maintenance and cleaning duties while maintaining high standards of safety and sanitation for both members and team members. This role involves ensuring a clean and organized environment, assisting members with their needs, and supporting club policies and procedures. The position emphasizes teamwork, service excellence, and a commitment to delivering a positive experience for all members.

Requirements

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age-restricted areas.

• Experience in a similar role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous service and assistance to members.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the club including sales floor, offices, restrooms, and outdoor grounds.
• Gather and return carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Remove trash or debris from the parking lot and exterior of the club.
• Ensure carts are well-stocked and in working order.
• Return new and unused merchandise to the sales floor.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning duties including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and washing glass.
• Maintain outdoor grounds including cart corrals and sidewalks.
• Prioritize maintenance and cleaning responsibilities efficiently.
• Operate floor scrubber, trash compactor, and cardboard baler safely.
• Restock maintenance and cleaning supplies and keep supply areas organized.
• Perform minor building repairs and notify management of major repair needs.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
