About The Position

The Payroll Specialist at USPI is responsible for managing a variety of payroll and benefit functions, ensuring accurate payroll processing, and resolving discrepancies. This hybrid position requires a strong background in payroll systems and regulations, particularly with ADP and Kronos, and emphasizes customer service and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED is required
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years payroll processing experience with ADP PayForce or ADP Enterprise version v4 or above preferred
  • Experience with day to day administration of Kronos Timekeeping System version 5.2 or above
  • Minimum 1 year experience administering company benefits
  • General Human Resource experience
  • Creating and running reports using ADP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional telephone and email etiquette
  • Ability to produce accurate work with attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize workload to meet impending deadlines
  • Positive attitude, ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Effective organization and time management skills
  • Proficiency working with and analyzing computations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, benefit vendors and co-workers

Responsibilities

  • Answer Kronos timekeeping related questions
  • Assist with software set up, maintenance and security set up
  • Review import of new hires and changes from Enterprise to Kronos
  • Create and load Kronos import file into Enterprise for new facilities
  • Transmit and download payroll data each pay cycle
  • Enter maintenance for new facilities
  • Hands on year end payroll process to ensure W2 accuracy
  • Answer payroll and benefit deduction related questions
  • Administer payroll related leave
  • Research payroll and tax discrepancies
  • Act as a liaison between facility and ADP Payroll/Tax
  • Maintain knowledge of IRS and State regulations
  • Understand multi-state pay related practices
  • Create and run ad hoc query reports in Enterprise
  • Assist with special projects and inquiries related to payroll
  • Administer wage assignments and garnishments
  • Complete forms for wage garnishment requirements and adjust payroll records accordingly
