Requirements

• Experience working in customer service and/or the food service industry.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

• Enthusiasm for sharing exceptional service standards with guests.
• Ability to maintain a pleasant smile and demeanor throughout the shift.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Self-motivated, especially under pressure.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pass and practice the TiPS training course.
• Ability to obtain a Liquor Card and apply Maui County Liquor Department rules to day-to-day operations.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and depart each guest with authentic aloha.
• Make eye contact and greet guests with enthusiasm.
• Treat customers and co-workers with courtesy and respect.
• Answer the phone with a smile and take to-go orders.
• Maintain flow of seating to allow co-workers to effectively serve guests.
• Coordinate seating for reservations and large parties.
• Communicate to supervisors when help is needed to maintain customer service.
• Maintain a waitlist and inform guests of their status in line.
• Help servers bus tables as needed.
• Inform guests of daily specials while in line or seating them.
• Positively respond to requests for assistance from co-workers and guests.
• Remain within viewing of the door throughout the shift.
• Take initiative to help in any area of the restaurant when slow.
