About The Position

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment at Tucson Electric Power (TEP) facilities. This role involves protecting personnel and assets while ensuring the security of critical infrastructure sites. The position requires a commitment to high standards of vigilance and professionalism, with responsibilities including conducting patrols, monitoring entry points, responding to incidents, and maintaining documentation.

Requirements

• Valid unexpired Guard Security License issued by the State of Arizona and/or New Mexico (if applicable).
• Valid unexpired US Driver's License.
• CPR/AED First Aid certification (Red Cross or equivalent).
• Pass a background check and Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA).
• Clear criminal history; no felonies or Class A misdemeanors.
• Safe driving record.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in security technology and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dismounted and vehicle patrols of TEP's facilities.
• Monitor and control entry points at security gates and other sensitive areas.
• Respond to non-emergency incidents in a professional and timely manner.
• Operate and monitor security technology and reporting tools.
• Report suspicious activities, security breaches, and other incidents as per company protocols.
• Maintain thorough documentation of daily activities, patrol logs, and incident reports.
• Ensure continuous security coverage and assist in the coordination of emergency responses.
