About The Position

The Transportation Tech assists members of the health care team in the transporting and well-being of patients by performing specific tasks as directed by patient caregivers. The Transportation Tech is a patient advocate and works with all departments to ensure timely movement of patients throughout the JMC system and services. Demonstrating high quality competency to assist staff with transporting of patients to and from various medical departments and service lines in a safe and passionate manner. Assists in maintaining and adjusting schedules to meet the needs of the department. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Current Florida driver's license class E or obtain within 6 months.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification for Health Care Providers.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
