About the position

The position involves providing quality customer service and working towards the generation, promotion, and maintenance of a quality work environment for the staff of Amarillo National Bank. The role requires maintaining a positive attitude and providing team support, assisting the operations manager in delivering fast and efficient customer service, and acting as the primary back-up in the absence of the supervisor. Responsibilities also include distributing specials, handling each customer professionally, relieving tellers, and helping employees with problems, including balancing tellers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service and work towards the generation, promotion, and maintenance of a quality work environment.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and provide team support.
  • Assist the operations manager in providing fast and efficient customer service.
  • Act as primary back-up in absence of the supervisor.
  • Distribute all specials and handle each customer in a professional manner.
  • Relieve all tellers.
  • Work with employees and help them with all problems, balancing tellers.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to count and handle large amounts of money accurately.
  • Knowledge of various business machines (10-key, currency counters, etc.) is helpful.
  • Previous teller experience of 1-2 years is necessary.
  • 1-2 years' supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to act independently and handle customer problems/complaints is important.
  • Must have neat and professional appearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual skills preferred.
