About The Position

The Managed Services Operations Technician at Presidio is responsible for monitoring and managing customer networking, datacenter, security, and collaboration platforms. This role involves direct interaction with customers and requires the technician to resolve incidents while adhering to contracted service level agreements (SLAs). The position is part of a team that operates in a 24/7 environment, necessitating flexibility in shift work and strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Bachelor's degree and/or military experience.
  • 1+ years of experience maintaining, utilizing, and troubleshooting Cisco IOS.
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing a ticketing system such as Remedy or ServiceNow.
  • 1+ years of experience using network monitoring tools such as Nimsoft, Zenoss, Prognosis, or EMC Smarts.
  • 1+ years of experience maintaining, utilizing, and troubleshooting voice platforms.
  • 1+ years of experience maintaining, utilizing, and troubleshooting datacenter platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with routing protocols like MPLS, Multicast, GRE, VoIP, HSRP, QoS, and L2 switching.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage network, datacenter, security, and voice technologies.
  • Provide remote hardware/software support and maintain documentation throughout the triage process.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining network hardware and software, analyzing logs, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Interact with advanced engineering groups and vendors to escalate technical issues and drive incidents to resolution.
  • Maintain communication with the Managed Services Operations Manager and supervisors regarding tasks and projects.
  • Use monitoring tools to investigate potential issues or respond to monitoring events.
