About The Position

ROHM is seeking a dynamic and associate level Technical Sales Manager. This is a hybrid position, Detroit Metro or near regions. The successful candidates will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our market presence in the Central and East territories with a primary emphasis in the non-automotive segment. This role requires a strategic mindset that can work across all levels within large organizations, a deep understanding of semiconductor products and technologies, as well as strong sales and relationship-building skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline. An MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of Semiconductor experience or related technology industry experience.
  • Consumer and industrial electronics experience is needed.
  • Strong oral and written communication to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of analog, power electronics, power management, and LSI.
  • Demonstrated negotiation experience.
  • Proficient in MS Windows, MS Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Planner), and CRM Software (Salesforce).

Nice To Haves

  • Japanese language skill is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers in the Central and East regions (Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, and Michigan)
  • Sales support for non-automotive accounts
  • Identify and engage with potential customers, understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to provide customers with comprehensive product knowledge and support.
  • Negotiate significant annual and long-term agreements.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, presentations and market analysis to senior management.
  • Input, maintain and track all opportunities using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
