About the position
Telnyx is seeking passionate individuals to join their team and contribute to their industry-shaping company. They are looking for someone who can partner with engineering peers and other Product Managers to deliver business value and adhere to technical strategy and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IP telephony and related protocols, as well as experience with Open Source VoIP applications. This role will involve synthesizing requirements, creating product roadmaps, and performing technical discoveries and vetting on external integrations. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for testing features, resolving outages, and conducting post-mortems.
Responsibilities
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications or similar.
- Strong understanding of IP telephony (VoIP), TCP/IP Networks and related protocols (SIP, RTP, RTCP, ISUP, TLS, STUN, TURN, WebRTC).
- Experience with Open Source VoIP applications such as Kamailio, OpenSIPS, FreeSWITCH, RTPEngine, Asterisk and open source tools such as Wireshark, sngrep and Homer.
- Experience with Linux, Open Source tools and shell scripting.
- Experience with containers and automation/orchestration tools such as Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Prometheus.
- Familiarity with programming in Python, C/C++, Elixir are a plus.
- A technical background through past experience or your degree/s and/or credentials.
- Demonstrated ability to discover context when little is given or provided for.
- Demonstrated ability to break down a large problem and optimize solutions around incremental delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to work with limited resources, juggle multiple projects, and switch priorities when the business requires.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with crisis.
