About the position
Crisis Text Line is seeking a Technical Product Manager to drive foundational improvements in their engineering organization. The role involves partnering with the DevSecOps team to advocate for the needs of the engineering organization and identify opportunities for improvement. The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for scoping and prioritizing projects, delivering features aligned with design and scope, and ensuring effective cross-functional communication. They will also lead cross-team initiatives and manage risk and resources. Familiarity with technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure is required.
Responsibilities
- Be a subject matter expert on the product domain and understand the needs of the users within it
- Facilitate sprint processes and improve pod processes
- Scope and prioritize complex projects with guidance from the manager
- Deliver features aligned with design and scope on an established timeline
- Ensure effective cross-functional communications across engineering, data science, and product teams
- Lead cross-team initiatives and focus on cross-engineering integrations and migrations
- Scope, plan, and deliver large-scale projects and break them into completable parts
- Manage risk, anticipate roadblocks, and optimize resources
- Present status, progress, risk, and teams' strategy effectively to organizational leadership and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and AWS infrastructure
- 2+ years of experience as a product/program/project manager in a highly technical environment
- Demonstrated interest in using technology to support diverse user outcomes
- Experience developing and managing cross-engineering programs, products, and release schedules
- Experience building or managing work on highly-available, scalable software products and services
- Expert ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders and interpret stakeholder needs into feature requirements
Requirements
- Familiarity with technologies such as Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins, as well as AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, cloud formation, networking/VPCs)
- 2+ years of experience as a product/program/project manager in a highly technical environment or similar experience such as engineering
- Demonstrated interest in the use of technology to support diverse user outcomes
- Experience developing and managing cross-engineering programs, products and release schedules
- Experience building or managing work on highly-available, scalable software products and services
- Expert ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders matched by an ability to interpret stakeholder needs into feature requirements
- Reliable High-Speed Internet Required: Must have a stable high-speed internet connection to support seamless remote collaboration, virtual meetings, online job tasks, etc.
