About The Position

The Team Lead at ZOLL is responsible for guiding team members to achieve area goals through performance monitoring, training, and problem resolution. This role involves ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met while maintaining team morale and facilitating continuous improvement. The Team Lead acts as a first point of contact for process-related inquiries and plays a crucial role in training and supporting team members in a manufacturing environment focused on medical devices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates Degree or Vocational Training preferred.
  • 3 years of training and manufacturing experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

  • Assist team members in meeting area goals by performing non-standard work and standard work assessments.
  • Monitor hourly performance and resolve or escalate problems with urgency.
  • Train and coach team members on standard work procedures.
  • Fill in for absent team members and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Work with support personnel to implement necessary process or line changes.
  • Provide process direction to team members and address productivity issues.
  • Coordinate training for newer employees and serve as the first point of contact for questions related to process and materials.
  • Ensure safety within the assigned area by identifying and resolving safety issues immediately.
  • Check team member output against quality standards and resolve issues immediately.
  • Monitor performance to ensure delivery requirements are met and take action to resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist team members to meet cost targets by monitoring process indicators and adjusting work assignments as needed.
  • Maintain team morale by helping team members learn and achieve area goals, treating them with respect.
  • Escalate performance or personnel issues to management.
  • Facilitate problem-solving with small groups and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
