About The Position

The System Support Specialist will provide technical support under the guidance of the Information Technology Manager, ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of systems and applications. This role focuses on maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans, coordinating software installations and upgrades, and ensuring high availability of mission-critical resources. The position is based in either Tulsa, OK or Richmond, VA, and is integral to the operations of a leading data-driven constituent experience management company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years' IT support experience, ideally in ERP customer support service.
  • Strong customer service skills focused on client objectives.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and support, especially EPS (EFI) iQuote and Monarch.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware, Windows Servers, NAS Administration (preferably Synology), and CRM (preferably Odoo).
  • Strong understanding of technical troubleshooting methodology.
  • Experience with Backups, preferably Veeam, Synology Hyper Backup, Backblaze B2.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft or VMWare certifications preferred.
  • Ability to facilitate problem-solving among administrative groups.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure systems and applications are effective, reliable, and meet service delivery needs.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Identify and coordinate installation, upgrades, and ongoing support of software packages.
  • Plan, implement, and review upgrades of existing applications with minimal disruption.
  • Train technical staff on new software and hardware.
  • Maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use and abuse.
  • Coordinate and execute changes to increase performance and availability.
  • Ensure high availability and acceptable performance levels of ERP resources.
  • Provide up-to-date system documentation and inventories.
  • Work with vendors for problem resolution when necessary.
  • Provide advance notification of planned system and network outages.
  • Coordinate and communicate with management and help desk during unplanned outages.
