About The Position

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot PC related software and hardware problems.
  • Coordinate timely resolution of software and hardware issues with IT resources.
  • Work with manufacturers' support for warranty repairs and parts replacement.
  • Log support details in Help Desk trouble-ticketing system.
  • Develop and use workstation configuration management tools for software distribution and inventory management.
  • Install, configure, and support complex software applications for college needs.
  • Develop and recommend best practices for computer lab management.
  • Assist with the installation and support of network equipment and servers.
  • Maintain hardware replacement planning information.
  • Receive, prioritize, and respond to Help Desk Service tickets and calls.
  • Identify chronic problems and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Complete requests for hardware or software moves, adds, and changes.
  • Implement technology standards for campus support and collaborate on best practices.
  • Provide input on hardware specifications for end users.
  • Ensure end users are aware of available hardware and software support.
  • Work towards key support goals such as response time and user satisfaction.
  • Provide brief training to users on hardware and software usage.
  • Maintain system documentation for technology support.
  • Stay informed of trends in hardware and software.
