About The Position

We are seeking skilled System Administrators with a government clearance to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. This role involves managing IT system infrastructure and processes, providing day-to-day operational support, and ensuring the reliability and performance of various IT components.

Requirements

  • Mid-Level System Administrator: Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Senior System Administrator: Fifteen (15) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in UNIX and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manage daily activities related to the configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Assist users in accessing and using IT systems.
  • Monitor and resolve issues for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
  • Escalate and communicate status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Optimize system operations, perform capacity analysis, and plan resource utilization.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, including software installation and network component configuration.
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback for escalated tickets.
  • Support dispatch system and hardware problem resolution.
  • Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.
