About the position

Classy is seeking a Senior Vice President of Marketing to drive their continued growth and success. This role will be responsible for leading and developing all core functions of the Marketing organization, including brand and design, demand generation, product marketing, growth marketing, and programs and events. The Senior Vice President of Marketing will manage a team of 35 and will work closely with the GoFundMe marketing team to align strategic opportunities. This role will report directly to the President of Classy and will play a critical role in shaping the company's marketing strategy and driving key initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 35 with 3 direct reports and current and future agency relationships
  • Partner with the GoFundMe marketing team to align the two brands from a product and go-to-market perspective
  • Analyze market and 1st party data to build plans that serve the needs of non-profit partners and define an evolving company position and target audience
  • Develop strategic orientation and drive key initiatives in partnership with executives and cross-functional partners
  • Collaborate with the sales team and product team to steward the product vision and roadmap
  • Create a clearly articulated value proposition and corresponding enablement materials and marketing campaigns
  • Build and implement adoption and expansion strategies for the existing customer base
  • Manage the company's market position with target audiences
  • Manage to key corporate objectives and carry a pipeline number across market segments
  • Oversee several marketing disciplines and lead a brand in the B2B, Fintech, or SaaS industry
  • Provide direct people leadership experience managing teams over 30 people
  • Understand enterprise sales and the enterprise phases in the sales cycle
  • Negotiate terms and close contracts for business
  • Solve strategic problems
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Post-Sales organizations as a strong multi-functional partner
  • Balance management/people leadership and individual contributor work
  • Perform at an exceptionally high level with ambitious velocity

Requirements

  • 15+ years overseeing several marketing disciplines & leading a brand in B2B, Fintech or SaaS industry
  • 10+ years of direct people leadership experience managing teams over 30 people
  • An understanding of Enterprise sales and the enterprise phases in the sales cycle
  • Extensive experience negotiating terms and closing contracts for business
  • Strategic problem solver
  • Strong multi-functional partner, particularly with Product, Sales, and Post-Sales organizations
  • Can think in a "bigger picture" and org mentality while still focusing on 70% management/people leadership and 30% individual contributor work
  • Ability to perform at an exceptionally high level with ambitious velocity
