About The Position

The SVP of Data Science at iSpot.tv is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the vision and execution of the company's data science initiatives. This position is crucial for maintaining best-in-class measurement capabilities across various platforms, including linear, streaming, and digital. The SVP will lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborate across departments, and leverage data-driven insights to foster innovation and strategic growth while promoting ethical data use.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with at least 5 years in an executive leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing data science teams.
  • Proven track record of applying data science to drive business value and strategic insights.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning, AI, and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ad-tech, mar-tech, or related domains.
  • Background in big data technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with technologies such as Python, R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
  • Expertise in data governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data science strategy aligned with the company's vision and goals.
  • Serve as a key thought leader in the application of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to the ad measurement domain.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to embed data science into broader corporate strategy and decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a team of data scientists, analysts, and machine learning engineers.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional growth within the team.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data science projects, ensuring prioritized, timely, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Implement best practices for model development, testing, validation, and deployment.
  • Establish robust data governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and drive data-driven initiatives.
  • Clearly communicate complex data concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advocate for data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Lead the development of innovative measurement methodologies for cross-platform ad attribution and audience measurement.
  • Drive research initiatives that foster innovation and explore new methodologies.
  • Ensure robust experimentation and validation of methodologies to maintain accuracy and reliability.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data science and AI.
  • Spearhead experimentation and implementation of AI-driven solutions for real-time data processing and predictive analytics.
