About The Position

The Survivability Engineer position at Northrop Grumman involves developing, testing, and implementing advanced materials and technologies to enhance stealth capabilities in military aircraft. This role is critical in ensuring the effectiveness of systems designed to operate undetected in enemy airspace, contributing to the full Systems Engineering lifecycle from research to field maintenance. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related professional/military engineering experience, or a Master's degree with no experience.
• Demonstrated skills in Stealth design integration, product support, or antenna integration.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Northrop Grumman proprietary computational electromagnetic analysis codes.
• Knowledge of RF modeling and testing of classified targets.
• Strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills.
• Master's degree in physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Current active U.S. Government in-scope DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement new materials and technologies for stealth applications.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to design and manufacture systems.
• Conduct modeling and analysis to predict performance and optimize designs for stealth.
• Build and test physical models to verify design predictions.
• Balance design requirements in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.
• Work in diverse environments including labs and test ranges.
