About The Position

This position is located in Rosebud, SD, and is a federal job opportunity. To qualify, candidates must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of the specific position. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer work through National Service programs and other organizations. Candidates will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part-time work. It is essential to clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held, along with the total number of hours worked per week.

Requirements

• For GS-4: Six months of General Experience and six months of Specialized Experience, or two years above high school with related courses.
• For GS-5: One year of Specialized Experience equivalent to GS-4 grade level or a four-year course of study above high school with related courses.
• For GS-6: One year of Specialized Experience equivalent to GS-5 grade level.
• Successful completion of an associate-degree course of study or a full four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with relevant coursework.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and examinations including chemical, microbiologic, hematologic, and blood banking.
• Prepare reports of findings from laboratory tests.
• Set up collection trays with supplies necessary for the collection of blood and other specimens.
• Follow written procedures for providing instructions on each step of assigned tests and examinations.
• Determine correct blood specimens for tests ordered and adhere to quality control procedures.
