About The Position

This position is a federal role that requires candidates to demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties associated with the job. Experience can include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer work through National Service programs and other organizations. Candidates must clearly identify their duties and responsibilities in previous positions, including the total number of hours worked per week. The position is classified under GS-09, requiring specific qualifications related to respiratory modalities in critical care environments.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal service.
  • At least 2 years (36 semester hours) of graduate education directly related to the work of the position.
  • A combination of graduate education beyond the first year (18 semester hours) and specialized experience that meets the minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform respiratory modalities in the critical care environment for neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
  • Conduct advanced airway management including artificial airways and ventilation.
  • Consult with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans.
  • Evaluate the efficacy of therapeutic modalities.
