About The Position

The Supervisor, Health Information (HID Data Integrity) is responsible for overseeing and leading the development, implementation, and management of data integrity, transcription, and tumor registry processes. This role involves ensuring compliance with established guidelines and standards, managing staff, and coordinating functions to meet departmental performance goals. The supervisor will work closely with medical professionals to address issues related to medical records and documentation, while also focusing on team development and interdepartmental relationships.

Requirements

• Three (3) plus years of Health Information experience.
• Two (2) plus years of Supervisory experience in the management of unit(s) of moderate to high complexity.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Associate Degree in Business or Health Information Management preferred.
• RHIT (Registered Health Info Tech) or RHIA (Registered Health Info Admin) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and leadership for the development and management of Data Integrity, Transcription, and Tumor Registry.
• Supervise and manage Data Integrity in accordance with Cedars-Sinai and regulatory standards.
• Develop goals and objectives related to compliance, data quality, efficiency, and financial performance.
• Ensure departmental key performance indicators (KPIs) for performance goals are met and reported timely.
• Educate employees on case finding, follow-up, and abstracting as it pertains to Cancer Registry.
• Interpret and enforce organizational policies and government regulations related to health information management.
• Conduct staff meetings to communicate new policies, practices, and procedures.
• Ensure staff training and compliance requirements are met.
