Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 3-5 years of recent management and conflict resolution experience required.
  • Experience in customer service, allocation of staffing resources, quality management, improvement methodology, and project management required.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, decisiveness, and the ability to cope with ambiguous situations.
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership skills, team-building skills, and the capability to motivate work groups while initiating and managing change throughout the implementation of new programs.
  • Proficient computer skills required.
  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Competency in financial analysis preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
  • Must be able to drive all vehicles assigned to the General Service work unit.

Responsibilities

  • Provides work direction, education, orientation, training, and operational problem solving within the assigned General Service work unit on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develops and maintains a customer-focused and efficient work unit that supports patient transport, campus shuttle bus program, information and hospitality, mail and material delivery, lost and found, parking/transportation, and telephone operations.
  • Communicates departmental and institutional policies to staff.
  • Assists in current technology that supports the maintenance and growth of progressive and efficiently organized work units.
  • Must be flexible to respond to changing priorities and handle changing workflow.
  • Serves as a professional example and team leader to staff members working all shifts.
  • Responsible for the development and management of productivity statistics to support staffing.
  • Employs and promotes the use of quality management tools to ensure continuous improvement of systems, customer service and operations of work unit.
