About The Position

The Summer Intern in Architecture/Urban Planning at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will assist the Major Capital Projects Department in design, planning, and presentation of architectural concepts. This internship provides an opportunity to work on significant projects such as the Port Authority Bus Terminal Replacement Project and the World Trade Center, while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment.

Requirements

• Enrollment at a college/university through Summer 2025 and into the Fall 2025 semester.
• Major in Architecture or Urban Planning.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of graphic software including Autocad, Sketchup, Revit, Enscape, Rhino, Adobe Softwares - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Design and planning capability.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Interest in contributing to the success of the New York and New Jersey region.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, planning, and presentation of concepts and architectural 3D Model visualization.
• Work on projects including the Port Authority Bus Terminal Replacement Project, World Trade Center, and other Major Capital Projects.
