About The Position

The Applications Intern for TTH Sweet Goods, Bakery and Cereal at dsm-firmenich is a summer internship program designed for students to gain hands-on experience in a global flavors, fragrances, and ingredients organization. Interns will work on real business projects, enhancing their skills while contributing to strategic projects in the bakery and cereal applications sector. This role offers exposure to product development, pilot plant processing, and data analysis, all within a supportive and inclusive environment that values diversity and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Currently working on completion of a bachelor's degree in food science or related field.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
  • Experience with working in a pilot plant or food processing environment.
  • Skills related to formulating and evaluating food and beverage products.

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage strategic projects for bakery and cereal applications.
  • Product development and pilot plant processing of various foods and beverages.
  • Organize and manage internal evaluations of flavor technologies.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data from flavor evaluations.
  • Support active customer briefs for a range of clients.
