About The Position

Substitute teachers are needed for per diem and short-term assignments in grades pre-kindergarten to grade 6. There are also assignments available for high school special education at the Gilbert School. The primary responsibility of the substitute teacher is to teach students according to the lesson plans left by the regular teacher.

Requirements

• Must pass federal and local background checks
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must complete all pre-employment requirements before the start date
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

• Students working on their BA, BS or certified teachers are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach students lesson plans left by the teacher.

Benefits

• Certified Teacher Substitutes - $130.00 per day
• Non-Certified Substitutes - $115.00 per day
• Para Substitutes - $16.00 per hour
