About The Position

The position involves assisting teachers in providing services to students and supervising students in various settings including the classroom, hallways, and outdoor areas. The role includes relieving teachers of routine clerical and authorized instructional duties, as well as performing other related work as assigned. Candidates should be aware that any offer of employment is subject to a criminal history check, a pre-placement medical examination including drug screening at the district's expense, and a negative tuberculosis test.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of higher education/Associate's Degree or higher, or passage of a district academic assessment test
• One year of experience or work involving contact with children
• Knowledge of subject matter taught in the classroom
• Physically able to perform the tasks of the job, including bending, stooping, lifting, and assisting students in emergency situations
