They will also support the existing medicine donor community by providing assistance, troubleshooting issues, and leading initiatives to highlight their impact.
Responsibilities
- Growing the medicine donor base by exploring new industries and enterprise-level groups to find new sources of surplus medication
- Conducting market research to identify potential sources of surplus medication
- Owning scheduling and making calls to establish and maintain relationships with potential donors
- Supporting the existing medicine donor community by answering questions and troubleshooting issues via emails, texts, and calls
- Conceptualizing and leading new initiatives to highlight the impact of the donor community on families' lives
- Sharing the impact of the donor community with the donor community itself
- Gaining exposure to every functional part of the organization, including growth, operations, policy, marketing, and development
- Intersecting with industries such as pharmacies, health facilities, government, and tech
- Working on specific projects to execute the ambitious plan of getting nearly $1B of medicine to 1M low-income patients over the next five years as a part of The Audacious Project
- Potentially staying on with SIRUM or pursuing other professional pursuits after the fellowship period
Requirements
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to conduct market research
- Excellent communication skills (via emails, texts, and calls)
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Ability to conceptualize and lead new initiatives
- Familiarity with the healthcare industry and supply chain
- Knowledge of pharmacies, health facilities, and government organizations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Ambitious and driven to positively impact patients nationwide
- Willingness to work in Palo Alto, CA or Metro ATL
