About the position
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for generating business by proactively engaging with current and potential customers to develop a portfolio of active accounts. They will focus on developing and growing Velocity's corporate account base and assisting in the implementation of global sales and purchasing strategies. The role involves managing and facilitating individual trading, including sales, sourcing, and throughput, as well as ensuring accurate entry of customer requirements in Velocity's ERP system. Additionally, the Strategic Account Manager will be expected to deliver on monthly outbound phone activities.

- Develop and grow Velocity's corporate account base
- Assist in the implementation of global sales and purchasing strategies
- Manage and facilitate own individual trading, including sales, sourcing, and throughput
- Ensure customer requirements are accurately entered in Velocity's ERP system
- Deliver on monthly outbound phone activity goals
- Qualify valid business opportunities
- Consistently deliver on monthly and quarterly gross profit sales goals
- Represent and communicate Velocity's culture, values, and value proposition
- Provide immediate and responsive service to customers

- Minimum qualification - Diploma holder
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience
- Expertise in sourcing, account management, CRM
- Substantial product knowledge
- Heavy use of phone
- Working hours: 8.30am- 5.30pm
