About the position
The job overview for this position is that the Strategic Account Executive will be responsible for hunting opportunities within large enterprises and utilizing a consultative sales approach for emerging technology. The successful candidate will have experience in winning deals, coordinating teams, and managing seven-figure deals. They should also have a passion for data and understand its importance in improving business efficiency and building successful customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Become a consultative expert on Hiya's products, industry, and customers' challenges.
- Learn and understand the KPIs customers track and how they quantify value/build a business case for new solutions.
- Drive consensus on a pilot that supports Hiya's path to value while considering all confounding variables.
- Build territory plans and account plans providing insight that can be leveraged by internal stakeholders.
- Balance the long game with complex accounts and potentially quicker wins.
- Maintain a realistic view of opportunities near closing, cultivating for the next quarter, what's at risk, what's getting traction, and what needs to be dropped.
- Proactively inform internal teams and executives on account strategy and meeting preparation.
- Share valuable learnings from the market.
- Cultivate relationships and understand the needs of stakeholders and decision makers for each opportunity.
- Push for executive alignment early and often.
- Be a strategic thinker and always have a strategy in place.
- Prioritize opportunities and tasks, eliminating distractions as needed.
- Project manage opportunities with internal and external teams.
- Handle objections, questions, and issues that arise.
- Master the art of discovery and gather intelligence across the organization.
- Appreciate quantifying data and understanding equations.
- Collaborate with the right internal teams and provide meaningful market feedback.
- Naturally lead a selling team on opportunities and hold the group accountable.

- Have experience leading a collaborative sales process involving many stakeholders to win six and seven figure technology deals in large global enterprises.
- Run a consultative sales process involving a pilot that requires a quantitative assessment to prove success and assess ROI.
- Work with SDRs to guide and coordinate outreach strategy.
- Thrive in a startup culture as a resourceful self-starter.
